Australian Open tennis Novak Djokovic is the man of the moment. What a comeback for the star player in the Australian Open grand slam after the Covid 19 vaccine controversy last year. Djokovic defeats Tsitsipas in three sets, 6-3, 7-6(4), and 7-6(5), to win his 10th Australian Open tennis grand slam title.
This is Serbian star Novak’s 22nd grand slam triumph. He won the most grand slams and equaled the record set by Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal.
Australian Open tennis Novak Djokovic was very emotional, as he said after the post-match ceremony. He describes his feeling like that. “This is one of the most challenging tournaments that I have ever played in my life,” said Djokovic. “Not playing last year, coming back this year. I want to thank all the people who made me feel welcome. There is a reason why I have played my best tennis on this court, in front of the legendary Rod Laver.
“It is a long journey. All my team and family know what we have been through in the past four or five weeks and this is probably the biggest victory of my life.”
By winning the Australian Open tennis Novak Djokovic also returned to the No. 1 position in the ATP tennis rankings. AO is his tenth grand slam; he has also won seven Wimbledon titles, three US Open titles, and two French Open titles so far.
